PADI Open Water Diver

PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. A highly-trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.
By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.
The PADI Open Water Diver certification is the first step to a lifetime of scuba adventures. In only a few pool and open water sessions, you will learn everything you need to know to start safely exploring the underwater world.
OkiDiveZone offers flexible classes that gives you an individualized course to make sure upon completion you are a confident and knowledgeable diver. We also offer family classes to allow families to learn and dive together!
How to get started
The course is split up into three sections: Academic, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives.
Academic
This part of the course is completed through PADI eLearning, which you can now. PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you.
It's your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question.

Confined Water Dives
In this part of the course, you will learn all the scuba skills necessary for scuba diving in the comfort of a pool. You will have time to work with an instructor to make sure you are comfortable with the scuba gear before diving in the open water.
Open Water Dives
This part of the course consists of a minimum of four dives in the Open Water with an Instructor. During these dives you will demonstrate the skills you have learned in the pool and put them in practice in the Open Water.
